Forces of Valor 85076 1:72 U.S. F4U-1D CORSAIR

The Forces of Valor®  F4U-1D is in the colors and markings of a Corsair  named "Sun Setter," a fighter assigned to Marine Fighter Squadron VMF-114 when that unit served aboard the "USS Essex" in July 1944.

Forces of Valor® F4U-1D Corsair® “Sun Setter” is constructed almost entirely from diecast metal.  The solid metal wing includes detailed vents and machine gun ports. The prop turns. The landing gear wheel wells and the tail wheel assembly are also highly detailed. The model can be displayed on the included stand with the landing gear up or on the runway with the included landed gear in place.  The pilot figure is clearly visible through the clear canopy. Includes removable weapon system.
